New for 2017: Senior 50 NTRP Men's & Women's Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles!
Entry Fee: 
$35.00 (pluss TennisLink fee) for first event. $10.00 (Plus TennisLink fee) for additional Doubles. Maximum fee charged per player is $45 plus the processing fees for the number of events you select.

Automatic FMLC (First Match Loser Consolation) which mean you are guaranteed at least 2 matches. 

T-shirts will be provided for all participants; please enter your correct t-shirt size during registration.  T-shirts are not guaranteed for late entrants. 

NTRP Qualifying Tournament:  This NTRP/Open tournament allows you to accrue Georgia ranking/standing points that maximize your opportunity to play in the Georgia State NTRP or the Tournament of Champions NTRP State Championships. And, by playing in either of these NTRP state championships, you qualify to ENTER the USTA Southern Tri-State TOC to represent TEAM GEORGIA against elite NC and SC players in Open and MW 2.5-4.5 singles and doubles, AND Combo Mixed (5.0-9.0) doubles divisions. More details to come.

Banana CHAMPIONS are eligible to join winners from the 16 other Banana Open tournaments held throughout the south to compete for the title of TOP BANANA in the Banana Challenge. Entry forms will be mailed to all local winners in late August or early September.                                                                     
Players competing in two events are restricted to the following options:
     1 Singles & 1 Doubles
     1 Singles & 1 Mixed Doubles
     1 Doubles & 1 Mixed Doubles
     PLEASE NOTE:  Entry into two divisions may require you to play back to back matches.
     You may NOT play in two of the same divisions.  Ex. Men's 3.0 singles and Men's 3.5 singles. 


Scheduling:  If you have a conflict, please let us know.  We will do our best to accommodate your request!  Send an email to with the time/day request by the close of entries on Sunday, April 16th. All efforts will be made to “try” and honor the avoidance request as long as it does NOT affect the continuation of play of the tournament. Please limit conflict to one.

Match schedules:  Matches begin at 6:00 p.m. on weekdays. Weekend matches begin at 9:00 a.m.

Scoring:  All matches will play two out of three tie-break sets with a 10 point match tiebreak being played in lieu of a third set.

Rankings and Ratings:  
The Adult Banana Open is sanctioned!  What does that mean?  From your incredible play, you will receive state ranking points, and earn a year-end Georgia state ranking.  For those of you concerned about how this might effect your NTRP rating... matches will NOT be included in your NTRP computer ratings. So, play hard and not only will you be crowned the "Big Banana", but you will be crowned the best in Georgia!

Tournament Check-in Procedure:  Please check-in at least 30 minutes before your first match and 15 minutes prior to every other match throughout the tournament.  The check-in desk is located at the Annex on the left side of the street at Cooper Creek Tennis Center.

Awards: Winner and finalist awards will be given for all divisions.
