Local Player Edward Tymes Wins the Peach State Junior Closed Championships
Local player Edward Tymes won the Boys 16s Peach State Junior Closed Championships held at Peachtree Corners May 24 – 28, 2019. The Peach State is Georgia’s most exclusive junior championship. This tournament is open to the top 64 players in each age category. In the final, Edward defeated the #1 seed Robert Bauer in three sets 6-2; 1-6; 6-4.
Edward is a high caliber tennis player who is constantly working for the next big thing. Currently, Edward is ranked #2 in Georgia, and # 32 in the South in his age group. USTA rankings are generated and published every week.
Edward is the son of Roslyn and Edward Tymes, Sr. He was recently inducted in the National Honor Society at Calvary Christian School. Edward Tymes exemplifies a great athlete and talented player. We are positive we will be seeing his name on many tournament finals and are looking forward to following all his accomplishments and successes.
