Cross Court Tennis

Home School Tennis

The Columbus Regional Tennis Association, Inc. (CORTA) has a mission to promote the development of tennis as a means of healthy recreation and lifelong physical fitness.  There is considerable awareness that tennis can contribute to physical, social, emotional and intellectual wellbeing of children.  CORTA would like to partner with your organization to bring tennis into your home-school curriculum.

CORTA will offer beginning tennis lessons to teach students the basic fundamentals of tennis. Racquets will be available for children who do not have one.  All court fees will be paid by CORTA and balls for each program will be provided by CORTA. These classes are offered to junior players ages 5-18.  Players are instructed on the fundamentals of tennis including basic strokes in a group setting.  The QuickStart format is used to teach players ages 10 and under.  The QuickStart format modifies the court size, racquet size, net height, balls, and the scoring. Ages 11 and up are on a standard court using standard tennis balls.  These clinics will enable participants to become active in other junior programs offered by CORTA. All classes are held at Cooper Creek Tennis Center.  Program Information and Policies.
