Welcome to the USTA Jr. Team Tennis Parent's Page

If your kids love tennis, they'll love it even more as part of a team.  Kids like playing with their friends and being part of a group, which is why playing USTA Jr. Team Tennis is such a great way to get - and keep - kids in the game.

Play in USTA Jr. Team Tennis involves singles, doubles and mixed doubles.  Best of all, USTA Jr. Team Tennis is for children of all ages, including those 10 and under, with league utilizing the 10 & Under format, with smaller courts, shorter and lighter racquets, and lower bouncing and slower moving balls.

USTA Jr. Team Tennis promotes social skills and important values by fostering a spirit of cooperation and unity, as well as individual self-growth.  It's a fun environment for kids in which they learn that succeeding is really more about how they play the game - win or lose.

CORTA provides a progression of programs in youth tennis to start and keep a player in the tennis pathway.  We offer the "Red Hots" Clinic which uses the red dot ball on a 36' court for ages 5-8 and the "Beginning the Journey" Clinic to students ages 9-18 which are introduced to the basic fundamentals of tennis.   Once a child has completed these clinics and has a basic understanding of tennis, we encourage them to play on a Beginner level Jr. Team Tennis team.

Once your child gets involved in Jr. Team Tennis, you may want to be a JTT Captain!  We rely heavily on parents to volunteer their time to captain our teams!  If you think you would enjoy this, please contact the CORTA office or refer to our Captain's Corner for more info.

We offer the following JTT leagues:

Fall School Junior Team Tennis (Elementary/Middle School):  October-November
High School Jr. Team Tennis:  November-December
Fall TAUT (8U/10 & Under) Jr. Team Tennis:  October-November
Spring Jr. Team Tennis:  February-April
Spring TAUT (8U/10 & Under) Jr. Team Tennis: April-May

We have compiled a FAQ's Sheet for Parents with the most common questions concerning Jr. Team Tennis!  We also have several pages on our CORTA website with information about the Jr. Team Tennis leagues.  We hope this will help parents with their decision to become involved in Jr. Team Tennis!  It is a family affair and we welcome you!  Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns!
