TennisWorks! in the Schools
CORTA is affiliated with the USTA as the CTA responsible for promoting and developing tennis in Columbus and the surrounding counties. The primary purpose of CORTA programs is to promote tennis to the general public as a means to improve the overall social welfare through healthful recreation and physical fitness.
CORTA has partnered with USTA Georgia to assist local schools with the implementation of tennis in the PE curriculum as well as provide an opportunity for students to further their involvement with tennis after school in Kid's Tennis Clubs.
CORTA will provide each school with additional assistance with the implementation of their in school and/or after-school Kid's Tennis Club. The winter season is a great time for us to come to your school and help you conduct tennis clinics for your kids! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a time to come to your school!
Each school is encouraged to obtain a USTA Member Organization membership ($30) to receive equipment grants up to $150. Each school that signs up as a Member Organization and implements an after school Kid's Tennis Club will receive an equipment grant of up to $200 as well a Tennis Skillastics game.
