CORTA offers a wide variety of clinics. From “instructional” clinics, where focus is on stroke mechanics to “drill and play” clinics where players will further develop strokes and learn tennis strategy with drills and match play. All clinics are done in a group setting. It is recommended that a player take both Tennis 101 and Tennis 102 to be ready to play USTA league.
- Tennis 101 is an introductory to tennis clinic done in a fun, active and encouraging group environment. Players will learn the basic strokes of tennis – forehand, backhand, volley and serve.
- Tennis 102 is for the “advanced” beginner. Emphasis is placed on building a solid foundation of technique by focusing on the consistency of the forehand, backhand, volley and serve. Additionally movement, scoring and the format of the game are highlighted. Prerequisite is Tennis 101.
- Strokes & Strategy is to advance your game. Players will work on stroke production, and also learn strategy and patterns of play. Match strategy, point construction, and match play are utilized in order to develop the complete player
- Cardio Tennis is an engaging group fitness program featuring the heart pumping effects of tennis drills, games, and skills delivering the ultimate full body and calorie burning aerobic and anaerobic workout for all ages, abilities and fitness levels.
